Wes had a big boy internship this summer! He worked in downtown Houston. We rode the bus downtown before he started to find his building and check out the bus system, (which, by the way, is great if you want to avoid paying $10/day parking downtown and driving through rush hour on the highway).
I wasn't able to find a steady job this summer which left me bored at home, but luckily I was able to play with my adorable nephew (who is here during most week days). It's crazy to see how much he has grown in just a couple months!

Okay so maybe his hair is just longer in the July picture, but he has learned so much! He knows some animal and car sounds, he knows how to work an Ipad/Iphone/Ipod, he likes to swim, and knows that Weston isn't a big scary man afterall ... or maybe Kolby just wants to play on Weston's Ipad.
...a couple days in Schlitterbahn (where we worked on our tan and Kolby learned to love slides)...
We spent some time with Tyson & Chelsea and their cute girls ...
...and with their first son in July!

| Don't we look like a cute little family? Aunt Kelsi, Uncle Weston, and nephew Clayton! |
Thanks to my little sister's disaster of a room, I spent half of my summer cleaning and organizing it! Yes, she still had binders from elementary school lying around....
...as well as random notebooks that included ancient drawings of myself. (How I wish my lips were as big as my eyes.)
We went boating with Weston's family a few times which is always a blast and quite scenic. We even got three of our nieces to go tubing for the first time!
Mauren threw a super fun Olympic party where we both brought home the bank in medals and discovered we stink at three-legged races.
I was so lucky to play pretend-mom with my favorite pair of twins for a week while their parents were cruisin'! It was so much fun! Oh how I love these little girlies! We had way too much fun together :)
We finished the summer off with a delicious Homemade Cafe Rio night...

| On our way to Schlitterbahn! |

...and a session in the San Antonio LDS Temple!
Although it is nice to be back in our own place, we had so much fun spending time with our families. Thanks to all who were a part of our summer of 2012.
